Art+Science has some of the BEST hair color education, know-how and products in the business, but we still meet a lot of clients that are new to color and might be a little apprehensive about diving into the color pool.

We’re here to tell you you don’t have to worry! Alison Shipley of Modern Salon came to Art+Science in Wicker Park to chat with our color director Susan Hurley about some really easy and really FUN temporary color options, including ombre techniques.

This past July 2011 a group of our colorists went over to Paris (France) to study some new and revolutionary Fall techniques. Revlon Professional invited Amalia, Stevie and Lindsay from Evanston; Marilyn from Lincoln Park and Susan and Yvette from Wicker Park to train with them for a week.

Elaine’s work was created using salvaged furniture for “Where Is Where”, the AIADO (Architecture, Interior Architecture and Designed Objects) and Fashion Graduate Thesis Exhibition 2011 from the School of the Art Institute. It’s going on through June 25th. For more information, click here.

Très Awesome also spotted some color. In braid form!

With the days beginning at 6am and the last bit of light still lingering well into the 8 o’clock hour, most of the summer is spent washed over with the sun. Not only does that help with vision, but hair color is sprung to life. Molly’s cut is sensational, but the color really makes it explode.
