Education at Art+Science isn’t just about the teacher instructing the pupil, which is why we frequently do teach-backs in the middle and at the end of each stylists education program. We recently had the pleasure of having not one, but TWO teach-backs and it’s always great to see the progress and excitement of everyone on the team.
Teach-backs involve our stylists and colorists that are still in the education program or transitioning into full-time positions presenting models they’ve worked on while doing platform-style educational speaking. It’s an intense, in-depth and always entertaining event thats the culmination of a lot of hard work over the past few months.
Our first two looks come from Frankie, a stylist transitioning into a full-time position at our Evanston location, and Fergie, a colorist in the program. Frankie’s lines are precise without feeling rigid and the texture and movement she put in are perfectly paired with Fergie’s awesome color application.
The next three feature Frankie’s creative crop models and Hannah’s beautiful classic styling. All three looks are stunning and their knowledgable presentation made us proud!
Final teach-backs are always exciting, and Becca and Erin from Wicker Park collaborated with Meagan from Lincoln Park on a new teach-back model that hasn’t been seen before. All three not only presented models and demoed technique, but collaborated on a fun creative cut that we loved.
We’re dedicated to continued education, and each teach-back reinforces the confidence we nurture in the program while giving our educators a better insight into our apprentices thought process.
